U Asia Campus Opportunity Scholarship Application

The University of Utah Asia Campus awards the UAC Opportunity Scholarship to students based on: demonstrated financial needs. Scholarships are awarded in varying amounts based upon the assessment of the FAFSA application by the Finance Office and the UAC Scholarship Committee’s review of applicants’ application. The UAC awards scholarships to students who begin in either the fall or the spring semester and may be awarded to US and non-US citizens.

SPRING 2022 DEADLINE

Priority Scholarship Deadline: November 30, 2021
Final Scholarship Deadline: February 5, 2022

FALL 2022 DEADLINE

Priority Scholarship Deadline: May 15, 2022
Final Scholarship Deadline: August 5, 2022

Financial Information:

For US Applicants:

Fill out the FAFSA form and submit online at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa.
Please note that we will only be able to review your scholarship application once your FAFSA form is completed and submitted properly.

For Korean Applicants:

After submitting the Online Application for the Opportunity Scholarship, you will receive an e-mail with a link to Ubox, where you will upload below documents:

  1. FAFSA form
  2. Certificates of Income (소득금액증명원), which can be downloaded from www.minwon.go.kr.
  3. If you or your parents did not have income, Statement of Zero Income (무소득사실증명원; 사실증명-신고사실없음) which can be obtained by visiting the district tax office or at Hometax (www.hometax.go.kr)

For All International Applicants:

After submitting the online application for the Opportunity Scholarship, you will receive an e-mail with a link to Ubox, where you will upload below documents:

  1. FAFSA form
  2. Copies of Income Tax Returns for 2020
    * Please note that we only accept documents uploaded to the Ubox. Any documents submitted by mail or e-mail will not be reviewed in the scholarship consideration. If you have any questions about how to use the Ubox, please e-mail us at asiacampus@utah.edu for further instruction.
